New blog for a new trip!

Tomorrow I'm off to Stockholm to help crew a yacht over to England.  We'll sail through the Gota canal which takes us through Sweden, from there we go to the Orkney Isles, and then south through the Irish sea and finishing in Plymouth early Sep. I've never done a long trip like this on a yacht, although I have done overnight trips on tall ships, for about a week at a time.   This is going to be great :).

After that I meet Bev and Dorothy and Greg in Berlin where we'll pick up eBikes and cycle "south".  I want to see East Germany, Poland, etc, and end up in Rome with any luck. We'll see.

This blog was built by me and my offsider Claude Code.  I wanted something minimal (that was not Facebook) and which made it easy  to upload photos.  Many minimal blogging platforms just error out when you try to upload a modern normal sized photo so I wanted something that would do the re-sizing automatically (like Facebook does!)
