Bullando Marina

We've been here on the boat two nights now.

Martin and Lisa went to Stockholm for their overnight break and David and I have been taking it easy, poking about the boat to see how things work, etc.

And my sleeping berth up in the bow:

Today we went for a short walk outside the marina to see the sights:

Apparently all the marinas have saunas, Bullando has a big one:

Martin has a rowing machine on the boat to stay fit (I'm not sure why, winding the winches is a good enough workout for me).

Exciting times ahead! Did you have a sauna? Having walked 300km now I’d love one!

I did have a sauna at Bullando. Good thing too as saunas have been rare on the Gota canal. We stopped here for the night specially but the sauna is being renovated... Heat is great for soothing tired muscles - perhaps something could be arranged on the Bibbulmun track?

I saw you had the rowing machine out - does that mean you've tidied up the sleeping space? The thought of sleeping next to a loose ladder on a boat gives me the heebie jeebies.

The ladder and rowing machine are tied down when it's rough. But when it's rough we'll probably sleep in mid-ships in the saloon - it's less rough there. So far I've only slept in a marina or anchored in a sheltered cove.
